Blob fish

Description

Name: Blob fish -- unlike its cousins, the blobfish, the elemental blob fish have a space between the words in its name. Its scientific name is P. marciblubbus

Element: Water

Abilities: Acid armor -- the blob fish has the ability to completely liquefy its cells, dissolving into water as if they were one in the same.
Aqua jet -- another ability the blob fish has is its speed. They may not look like a fast swimmer, but using their rears they can project themselves through even the murkiest of water. Their eyesight is not too keen, however, so they may end up hitting a few things.
Bubble -- the blob fish is able to blow a few bubbles underwater. How cute.

Description: The blob fish isn't very impressive at first glance. It's clear that its body is made for existence underwater. Part of the blob fish's weakness is that they can't survive on land -- like, at all. They are pinkish in color and very soft to the touch -- but be careful, they have been known to bite. Unless it's dead. The blob fish mostly lives in deeper waters, like its cousins, but lately have been washing up on the shores...dead, of course, seeing that they can't breathe air, but nonetheless their appearance is shocking.

Food Chain: No one has ever seen a blob fish eat anything -- where do they get their energy? We just don't know. Evidence points to carnivorous behavior -- when left alone with other fish, the other fish end up disappearing. It's safe to assume that these fish are dangerous, especially given their acid armor abilities.

Behavior: Dead is usually how a cat will find a blob fish -- washed up on the shore and left to suffocate. But, by any chance, a cat is able to witness the blob fish in shallow waters, where they will sometimes wash up, they might be in for a pleasant surprise. Blob fish are very docile, and don't resent being touched. Males tend to be a bit more aggressive, but there haven't been any records showing a fatal blob fish attack.

Provocation: Like I said, blob fish are very docile. They are not used to being hunted, and thus are shown to trust cats not to kill them.

Other: It could be of important note that the blob fish's skin is very sensitive -- the reason they are called "blob fish" is because that's what their bodies look like when they're out of water. They're used to a very high density existence -- it is assumed that their underwater appearance is much different than their sea level facade.
